(Basic Line Dance Terminology-L)
Lead:
A body language communication between partners that initiate and continue movement.
Left Vine:
(3 counts) step left foot to side, step right foot behind left, step left foot to side.
Left Weave:
(4 counts) step right foot across in front of left, step left foot to left side, step right foot back behind left, step left foot to left side.
Lock:
The unweighted foot is tightly crossed in front or behind the weighted foot.
1.(3 counts) (1)step forward on right foot, (2)step left foot behind right foot, (3)step forward on right foot. ( or backwards)
2.A diagonal step pattern with a cross behind (lock) forward or backwards.
L.O.D.:
LINE OF DANCE- The long accepted direction of anticlockwise around the dance floor. (See full page diagram).
Lunge:
An extended step onto a bended supporting leg keeping body up right can be taken in any direction.
